Early Childhood Program (ECP)
Cypress Heights Academy's Preschool combines the pedagogy of Integral Formation with methods inspired by the approach of Maria Montessori in order to create a unique program that cultivates the emotional, physical, academic and spiritual development of its students like no other preschool in Baton Rouge. Attention to the person of each child fosters a balanced atmosphere that is cheerful, nourishing and orderly. The classroom is filled with manipulatives and hands-on activities because learning at this age level is an up-close and tactile experience. The environment encourages young students to explore their own curiosities and challenges them to master language and math concepts. Children develop the love for learning and social skills which are the foundation for future success.

Cypress Heights Academy's ECP is open to emotionally ready two-, three-olds.
PreK 2 (2yr old program)
For the 2-yr old program, the school day runs from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm five days a week, offering a catered lunch, snacks and a nap. Although this program does not strictly follow the curriculum of our Pre-K3 classroom, it is a similarly structured program that is more age-appropriate and consists of activities, indoor/outdoor play, snack, and lunch.
PreK 3 (must turn 3 years old by Sept. 30th)
For the Pre-K3 program, the school day runs from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm five days a week, offering a catered lunch, snacks and a nap. Because this program is based on a proven curriculum, it is recommended that students attend the full week to be prepared for our PreK 4 program.
PreK 4 (must be 4 years old by Sept. 30th)
We also have a Pre-K4 program that prepares children to enter into kindergarten. This program runs from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and is a five day a week program that also offers a catered lunch and a nap. The Pre-K4 program is a tuition based and students must wear K-8th school uniform.
Extended Care
For convenience greater convenience of our families, Cypress Heights Academy also offers extended care from 6:00 am to 6:00pm. For more information about our extended care program, please contact Mrs. Rhonda Perdue at 225.755.1558 ext. 105 or email rperdue@cypressheights.org.
