Welcome

Dear Friend in Christ,

It is my privilege as Head of School to welcome you to our website and invite you to join our mission of forming apostles; apostles that will one day lead and transform society. I hope this information provides you with an accurate depiction of Cypress Heights and the plan by which we are called by God in the role of educating and forming leaders in the Catholic tradition. Here at Cypress Heights we form our students with high levels of Christian maturity, integrity of character and leadership skills while cultivating a love for learning and an appreciation of what is good, noble, and just. To accomplish this mission one very important point must be emphasized. This point, so eloquently proclaimed by Pope John Paul II, is that “the family…is the fundamental nucleus of society in all aspects”.

Understanding this, it is my hope for Cypress Heights to become an extension of your family since unconditional love begins at the familial level. Therefore, Cypress Heights is obligated by God to continue this unconditional loving environment by providing a positive learning atmosphere and nurturing individual strengths, interests and personalities to help the child reach his or her full potential. This is one reason why we limit the number of students in the classroom since it helps create the most conducive learning environment possible, allowing the teacher more focus on each student’s ability – true personalized attention. The goal is to internally motivate each child to love learning, be anchored in their faith and prepared to put their gifts and talents at the service of society and the Church. Basically, we are here to support you, parents, in your role as primary educator.

Although the vision of Cypress Heights began over 12 years ago, since its formal establishment in 1998 we have grown significantly and expect even greater growth in the near future. We want to use these 27.5 acres given by God to do more of His work! In addition, we want to help the Church and the Bishop to fulfill the needs of an ever growing, ever needy society. Therefore, we are constantly striving to meet the demands that God has placed on us – always searching to continuously perfect our efforts to meet His demands. And, if I can promise anything then I will promise you that we will remain committed to our mission – never swaying and always reaching higher. Semper Altius!

For a truly enlightened experience, I recommend you visit our beautiful campus to see for yourself the marvelous work the Holy Spirit is doing for the Church through Cypress Heights. I hope that you will consider this educational opportunity for your children and your whole family.

To teach, to educate, to form…welcome to our mission.
