Technology


Mrs. Gail Boucvalt was born and raised in Shreveport, LA and attended catholic schools for grades K-12. She is a graduate of LSU, and has lived in Baton Rouge for many years. She has been the Technology Teacher at Cypress Heights since 2007. Before moving to Cypress Heights, Gail was the Technology Teacher at another catholic school for 5 years. Prior to transitioning to a school setting, Gail was an information technology trainer in the corporate world for more than 20 years. She and her husband Chris have one son. Their son and his wife recently blessed them with a beautiful granddaughter. She and her husband are parishioners of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church.
Burges, Lawrence
Music & P.E.


Mr. Lawrence Burges is our Music and Physical Education Teacher. As a graduate of the LSU School of Music, he enjoy all things music. He also enjoys teaching Physical Education at the standard of The Presidential Physical Fitness Test requirements. He shares his love of music, the arts, and sports with the students from Pre-K to 8th Grade. Every Christmas season, he directs a Christmas musical that every Pre-K-8th grade student participates in.

Mr. Burges truly enjoys the gift of music. He also gives private lessons in guitar, piano, and voice at Cypress Heights Academy through his music company known as SuperMusic. He also shares his gift of music at his church, Healing Place Church, where he has been serving since 2002. Mr Burges has been serving as a musician in church since he was 13 years old. He began playing keyboard in the music team at Kid's Club, the children's ministry of Bethany World Prayer Center.

Lawrence Burges is a recording artist. He produced a music CD entitled Free The Humans which debuted on iTunes in 2010. It is his joy and passion to teach the students of Cypress Heights Academy. He emerges himself in the development and progression of not only the school but the students as well.

Kate Stone is from Albertville, Alabama. After graduating High School, Kate attended Wallace State College in Alabama and received an Associates degree in Fine Arts. After Wallace, Kate moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU. She graduated in 2009 with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History.

Kate enjoys working out, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loves sports and cheering on the LSU Tigers!
