Our Philosophy

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of education to form Christian leaders who will transform society – a truly authentic education of the “whole child” through high human (character), intellectual (academic), spiritual and apostolic (service to others) standards.

Our main purpose is to form Christian leaders who will transform society.

Our mission is reflected in the motto: Semper Altius, "Always Higher"

Developing the whole child is a process by which Cypress Heights focuses on three main objectives:

  • To TEACH the mind, transmitting knowledge appropriate to grade level in an environment of academic excellence

  • To EDUCATE the heart, helping each student to love authentic values and to develop a sense of what is good, right, noble, just, and beautiful.

  • To FORM the character, which serves as the foundation of all virtue and integrity.
Academic Excellence

The curriculum used at Cypress Heights Academy curriculum was developed and licensed by the National Consultants for Education, Inc. (NCE) for schools implementing the Integral Formation® method of education. Core subjects of English, Mathematics, the Humanities and Sciences are complemented by an array of fine arts, athletic and technology programs.

Pedagogical Model

The education we offer aims at forming the complete human person: spirit, intellect and body, so as to create a harvest of souls for the spread of Christ’s kingdom on earth. Cypress Heights follows a unique pedagogical model that has been successfully implemented in schools of excellence located in Europe, North, Central and South America. This includes over 170 schools and 22 universities and centers for higher studies in 14 countries around the world. Along with these schools, we have a commitment to excellence in education and the formation of mature Christian leaders who will transform society according to the principles of justice and charity as found in the Gospel.
Gender Separate Education

International studies and Catholic tradition consistently affirm the advantages of gender separate education. It is the goal of Cypress Heights Academy to educate boys and girls separately. At this time, we are offering gender specific education in the 1st through 4th grades. Next year, we will offer gender specific education to 5th grade and continue gender spearation as they move up through the middle school grades. This will allow students to be challenged in a nurturing environment that best serves the learning styles of each gender, providing preparation for the best high schools and hopefully in the future, colleges and universities.

A Cypress Heights Graduate

The student who graduates from Cypress Heights Academy has a great awareness of who they are as a child of God and citizen of society, and has the ability to discover their role in personal formation at a greater depth. He also understands that personal formation has only begun. The graduate is well equipped for furthering his education.

Intellectually, the graduate possesses a rich store of knowledge in the western tradition, a love for the truth, and a set of skills and habits necessary to tackle higher learning. Humanly, the graduate possesses a character that is well grounded in human virtue and demonstrates the ability to further master one's actions and choices. Spiritually, the graduate is continually maturing in the life of grace and possesses a deep friendship with Christ that supports Christian authenticity. Apostolically, the graduate exhibits a disposition of service towards others - body and soul. Thus, the Cypress Heights Academy graduate is developing into an authentic Christian leader.
