After touring the Cypress Heights Academy facility, viewing the presentation on Integral Formation and submitting the Enrollment form to Cypress Heights Academy, the following steps will need to be completed in full for possible enrollment to be considered.
Play Date/Shadow:

For students in grades Pre K 4 – Kindergarten, a play date is needed to assess the experience in a classroom environment. Play dates for Pre K 4 and Kindergarten are done on Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 10:00am at the teacher’s discretion.

For students in grade 1st – 8th, “shadowing” another student helps the child to experience the atmosphere of Cypress Heights Academy and acclimate to the classroom environment. Students applying for admission into grades 1st – 8th are required to shadow from 8:00 until noon. Specific dates are determined by the teacher and administration.

Testing/Student Interview: Students in grade Pre K 4 – 8th grade will be given a basic skills test to assess academic skills and place the student in the appropriate grade level. Students entering 4th-8th grade will go through an interview process to assess behavior and attitude of the student.

Admission & Student Documents: The following documents are required before we can begin reviewing your student’s application.
• Letter of Recommendation from Pastor/Priest.
• Letter of Recommendation from Principal (4th - 8th Grade)
• SAT Test Scores
• Previous Report Cards
• Student Questionnaire (4th - 8th grade)
• Recent photograph of the student (2x3 headshot)
• Copy of Birth Certificate
• Copy of Social Security Card
• Copy of Baptismal Certificate
• Copy of current immunization record
• Transcript release authorization form found in Admission Packet (1st – 8th grade)

Family Interview: This is the final step of preparation before your application goes before a Review Committee. In this interview, parents have the opportunity to ask questions. Administration will assess the overall fit of the family and student with the school’s mission and program.

Committee Review: The Principal, Dean of Students, Formation Director and Level teacher (if applicable) review the qualifications of your child to assess if Cypress Heights Academy’s school mission and program is a good fit for your child.
Board Review: In grade levels 4th – 8th grade, the governing board of Cypress Heights Academy will review all candidates and make a final recommendation.

Once the Review Committees have reached a decision, a letter of acceptance or rejection is then sent by Cypress Heights Academy.

Enrollment Process: Once the letter of acceptance is received, two weeks are given to complete the process. An appointment is made with the Business Manager regarding financial obligations. An enrollment contract is signed, registration payment is collected and Smart Tuition is explained and initiated. Failure to submit payment or complete all forms for the Enrollment process in the allotted time results in forfeiting your spot.
